Tungsten with a lot of advantages like very high temperature resistance,corrosion resistance,low vapor pressure and low evaporation rate etc. But it also has fatal weaknesses: easy to be broken.

Tungsten often produces microcracks at the crystal interface, and the expansion of these microcracks is an important cause of tungsten fracture.
